Matilda Song Cole

Matilda Song Cole is a business partner with a background in strategic human resources, recruitment, and operations. She has 20+ years of experience helping organizations and people thrive by optimizing the employment experience. She launched her HR career in New York City at a Wall Street brokerage firm and has propelled growth for many businesses and executives by designing practical human capital strategies, cultivating and connecting relationships, and building efficient, scalable processes. 

 

Matilda has held strategic leadership roles within high growth Inc. 500 and Fortune 500 companies including the Walt Disney Internet Group (ESPN, ABC, ABCNews), Noodles & Company, and Examiner.com.  

 

As the lead for the Business Growth & Employment Consulting line of business, Matilda advises organizations on employment matters, specifically recruitment and retention as part of growth or turnaround strategy - diagnosing issues, developing solutions, and driving plan execution. She also designs and delivers custom outplacement services for reductions in force (RIFs). 

 

Additionally, Matilda consults individual executive and C-level clients (jobseekers) on resume writing, job search & interviewing strategies, personal branding, and career coaching.

Matilda combines her passion for business and problem-solving with a strong sense of public service, inherent to her as the daughter of Colorado Springs community leader Andy Chun Song, the first Asian American inductee to El Pomar’s Milton E. Proby Cultural Heritage Room (2008).  She is also the proud daughter-in-law of the late David J. Cole, founder of DJCA, and committed to continuing his great work for the City & County of Denver and the Front Range.

Ms. Cole received her degree from the University of Denver on an achievement-based full ride scholarship.
